The Challenge

For the past eight years, my challenge in the kitchen was to simply explore the world of cooking. Watching Food Network and venturing through Allrecipes I learned one night at a time what it means to simmer, fold, punch down, brine, puree, sift, blanch, and deglaze.

So now that I have a rudimentary grasp on culinary delights, I’m faced with a new challenge. This has no deadline–it’s more of an endless exploration. I will take an ingredient and make as many things as possible with it.

Here are the newest ingredients. Call it Iron Chef for a newbie!
